For a Metro Phoenix real estate market update the table below summarizes all of the single family home sales that closed in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Mesa and Tempe AZ during the week of 7/14/14 to 7/20/14. This data can give you insight into your home’s value or where you may want to concentrate your home search if you are looking to buy a home in Metro Phoenix. It helps you identify average home values, average price per square foot and how long, on average, homes are taking to sell by zip code in Metro Phoenix, AZ.
The interesting thing that occurred this past week was in Paradise Valley; the number of sales tripled from last week. There were 15 closings as compared to 5 the week before. This implies that the higher price point, luxury market is indeed heating up as predicted.
Actually, as you can see in the graph and table below, each city we track in the Metro Phoenix area had a higher number of sales this week than the week before. Each city saw an increase in the price per square foot with exception to Gilbert and Paradise Valley, which decreased. On average, the homes that sold this week were on the market for a shorter period of time than the week before.
