Things to Do in Phoenix
Take a trip to Downtown Phoenix's Copper Square, which is ninety blocks of metropolitan lifestyle, activities and commerce. You can also visit the Heard Museum, which for over 75 years has helped preserve Native American Culture. Another wonderful idea is to have a delicious lunch at the Phoenix Art Museum, the Southwest's largest museum which houses more than 17,000 pieces of artwork that extends over many centuries. Spend a fun afternoon shopping at the Biltmore Fashion Park, one of Phoenix's premium shopping spots. To learn more about the Biltmore area's history, the Arizona Biltmore Resort would be a wonderful spot for dinner. Branded as the "Jewel of the Desert", it's also well known for its Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.
If outdoor activities are what you are looking for, visit Papago Park. This amazing park, which is on over a thousand acres of gently sloping desert hills and rocky mountains, has a golf course, art museums, picnicking locations, fishing areas, hiking paths and the famous Hole-In-The-Rock landmark.
Of course, no visit to the "grand" state of Arizona would be complete without taking in The Grand Canyon. Just a few hours north of Phoenix, the Grand Canyon National Park offers many different views to explore this magnificent natural wonder. You can float down the Colorado River or soar high above in a helicopter or get up close and personal through a hike or horseback guided tour.
