My appreciation for fine architecture began during a family trip (my family is part Italian) to Rome when I was a teenager. The Coliseum, St. Peter's Square, and the ornate stonework on a variety of other structures sparked a passionate lifelong interest that became first a hobby, then a vocation. Whenever possible, my travel plans include local architecture -- Taliesin, the Dodge and Wrigley Mansions, Tuscan Wineries -- and I always come away with an enriched enthusiasm for this most immersive of art forms.
Having lived in various parts of the Valley since 1995 (I'm a Michigan transplant born in Ohio), I'm familiar with various areas and the different styles they offer. McCormick Ranch, the Historic Districts, the Biltmore area, Paradise Valley and Arcadia, are just a few of the more popular areas. You can also find quite a few gems in some up-and-coming neighborhoods.
Hobbies and past times I find enjoyable are golf, Bikram Yoga (that's the one with the really HOT room), playing with my two golden retrievers, traveling, and my latest endeavor, which is to build a life size replica of the Robot from the Lost In Space TV Series. What can I say...I'm nostalgic!
